Why “Baywulf”?
Because no one can pronounce “Kubisiak and Associates”?
Actually, that is part of it. As much as I love my proud, Prussian family name, I recognize that marketing and messaging matter, and it’s important to develop a brand that conveys meaning to our existing and prospective clients.
Plus, Baywulf is more than just me. One of the goals of Baywulf is to be more than an extension of my own professional experience and expertise. We have a team of individuals that come together on a project-by-project basis. Sometimes it’s just me. Other times, it’s whoever fits the work requirements best. Always, it’s what serves the needs of the client.
If you’re curious about the meaning of Baywulf, well, it works on multiple levels. We’re based in Tampa, FL, and the bay reflects our passion for the water and living by the sea. The wolf is a reference to some very dear friends. The spelling as “wulf” is a nod to a family name. And yes, it echoes Beowulf, but that’s intentional. After all, that epic poem was about a hero who comes to the aid of others—just like a good consultant.
And, when your name is Kubisiak, you learn quickly that sometimes you’ll get your table called at a restaurant more quickly if you give the host something they can pronounce.
